Virginia Beach contractor to hire 49 people

Amid the massive economic downturn due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, one Virginia Beach military contracting company is moving forward with plans to move to a new headquarters and hire dozens of new employees.

SJS, which does business as both SJS Executives and SJS Industrial, plans to spend more than $4 million on the new facility and add 49 new positions with an average salary of $59,000.

“We realize that this is probably not the ideal time, however, it’s something we’ve had in the works for the last three to four years, and we feel very comfortable in making this move,” said SJS CEO and co-owner Gino Gonzalez.
