SJS Receives Prime Contract Award for Navy Seaport-e
SJS has received a coveted prime contract award for Seaport-e, the Navy’s contract vehicle for professional services. This prime contract is valid from 2016 through 2019; Seaport-e contracts issued in 2019 are allowed to operate as long as the year 2024, should all option years be exercised. SJS joins approximately 5,100 carefully vetted companies that have been rigorously pre-screened and assessed by the Navy to be allowed to bid on professional services tasks for all Navy commands. Our Seaport-e work will be concentrated in the Hampton Roads region, creating both new jobs and sustaining existing jobs in this area of Virginia.   Because Naval Station Norfolk is the largest Navy base in the world and the annual spending portfolio for Seaport-e contracts tops $3 billion, our prime contract on Seaport-e is a precious asset we will leverage to help grow SJS and bring additional employment opportunities to Hampton Roads.
